Application for Emergency Travel Document

The Emergency Travel Certificate is valid for 3 months from the date of issue including weekends and public holidays. Hence, applicants living in the Russian Federation are strongly advised to apply for an Emergency Travel Certificate at least 5 working days prior to travel date.

 Requirements for Emergency Travel Certificate:

1.  Application form (to be given at the Embassy or e-mailed by request)
 
2.  Namibian Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate (persons born outside Namibia)
 
3.  Three passport photos (white background, shoulders square to camera, both ears visible, no visible shadow, no head gear, no uniform, no smile, no eyeglasses, no earrings for men, no eyebrow/chin/ nose rings for all applicants, requirements as per International Standards)
 
4.  ID copy or proof of ID (16 years or above)
 
5.  Marriage certificate (married women only)
 
6.  Parents’ documents e.g. birth or citizenship certificate or ID (applicants under the age of 16)
 
7.  Fee: 1600 RUB
 
8.  Applicant’s signature (14 years and above)

 

NB: AN APPLICANT MUST BRING ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS OR PROVIDE ALREADY CERTIFIED COPIES OF THEM.

For applicants living outside Moscow in other cities of the Russian Federation or former USSR States* are strongly advised to apply at least 2 weeks prior to travel date. All required documents can be sent by post or any other postal company. Please note that the Embassy does not take the expenses and responsibility of sending the documents.
